Character Sheet: Riddle

Color/Markings: Riddle is a light, golden chestnut. His eyes are a rich, warm brown that reflect his loyalty and trustworthiness, but often glimmer with some mischief. His nose is pink and a large white blaze extends from just between his eyes down to his chin. There is a sock on his right front leg and a stocking that extends from just below his stifle to just below his hock on his right hind leg. His hooves are all gray except for the hoof on his right hind, which is a pale tan color. His horn is ruby, but was broken during a battle with a rogue stallion (Riddle’s only battle).
History: Riddle is much different than his sister Kiiy, and is two years her elder. He stayed in his homeland until just after he turned five, when Kiiy left the herd. He wanted to watch over her and protect her, but she wanted nothing of it. He returned home when he was six, but left again a few months later because he realized how much he longed for the life of a traveler. So, he once again found Kiiy dwelling in the river valley between The Wanderer’s mountains and the Northern Peaks. The place is lush and filled with unicorns. It was on this journey that he encountered a rogue stallion, whose name is unknown. He was a deep blue roan and scarred to a greater extent than Mor-Naur. He attacked Riddle, and the battle lasted over an hour. Finally, Riddle’s ruby horn snapped, and the rogue fled, stumbled, and careened down the cliff, eventually meeting his end. The Wanderer later informed Riddle of the devil ghost who roamed the mountains. He possessed the bodies of healthy unicorns, turning them angry and savage. While that blue roan is now dead, the ghost still lives, drifting through the mountains searching for a new host. So, the six live in the river valley, though Mor-Naur will leave for months at a time. Riddle has no interest in the mares he knows, for they all compete for his affections, and therefore, he is unwilling to give them. He wants a quiet mare, one who will laugh at and assist in his pranks. He wants someone constant and steady who will always be by his side. But, for now, he is content to wait until she comes along and enjoys watching The Wanderer and Thomil romance day after day as he dreams of the day when his love will find him.
Personality: Fabulous sense of humor and prankster; extremely loyal and caring, and loves his sister dearly; protective (sometimes obsessively) of those he loves; sweet and considerate; hates fighting; the mares love him, but he doesn’t fall into that trap, much unlike Mor-Naur; very shy until he comes to know someone very well; grumpy when he doesn’t get enough sleep or food; stallions sweet talking his sister makes him very angry; dreams of finding a mare and having a relationship like The Wanderer and Thomil, but has had no luck so far; can’t always take things seriously and ends up making others mad at him over this, but he’s quick to apologize and tries his best not to joke so much when those situations arise; perceptive; quirky; loves to laugh and have a good time.
