Description
There's no one in town I know
You gave us some place to go
I never said thank you for that
'thought I might get one more chance
What would you think of me now?
So lucky, so strong, so proud
I never said thank you for that
Now I'll never have a chance
May angels lead you in
Hear you me my friends
On sleepless roads, the sleepless go
May angels lead you in
So what would you think of me now?
So lucky, so strong, so proud
I never said thank you for that
Now I'll never have a chance
May angels lead you in
Hear you me my friends
On sleepless roads the sleepless go
May angels lead you in
(May angels lead you in)
May angels lead you in
(May angels lead you in)
May angels lead you in
And if you were with me tonight
I'd sing to you just one more time
A song for a heart so big
God wouldn't let it live
May angels lead you in
Hear you me my friends
On sleepless roads the sleepless go
May angels lead you in
May angels lead you in
Hear you me my friends
On sleepless roads the sleepless go
May angels lead you in

The interesting thing about this picture is that I sketched it while listening to the song way back in November or October. I think it was November. I finished it today listening to Tool's album "10,000 Days." The sketch had a lot of meaning for me back in the fall, and the finished piece and the thoughts behind hold great meaning.
I had originally toyed with the idea of another unicorn standing off in the background--just a black silhouette. But I couldn't get him to look right. I'm glad of that.
Anyway, this song has always been important to me. Some of you may remember this older piece of mine: [link] However, this is done with a much different intent that only a couple of you will truly understand. I actually feel like this is one of my most personal pieces in a while.
Solace...
Isolation...
Darkness...
Cold...
-Hope-
-Strength-
-Love-
Warmth...
Light...
Companionship...
Vigor...
